Algo Dot was founded in the UK in 2026 by Paulo Vidal and Shane McIntyre. Between us, we have spent decades building and testing vehicles and the systems inside them, and we have seen how much time and money goes into finding problems late. We started Algo Dot to change that: combining real engineering experience with software and AI to predict issues early, test smarter and give engineering teams confidence in what they build.
Paulo shapes where Algo Dot is going: the ideas, the partnerships and the business. He has spent his career leading complex engineering programmes, and loves turning a good idea into something engineering teams can actually use.
Shane leads the technology. He builds the models, simulations and test systems behind Algo Dot, and is happiest when software and hardware work together exactly as intended. His experience includes embedded control systems, simulation platforms and integrated electronic products for McLaren, Delphi, Jaguar Land Rover, CNH and Protean Electric.
